"He should've left me, and He didn't." | Mallory's Story

Mallory’s story begins with responsibility arriving far too early. At 15, she started dating a much older man and stepped into motherhood for his children, eventually adopting another child and building a family while still a teenager. When financial pressure hit, her husband enlisted in the Army, and Mallory spent long seasons raising the kids alone while he deployed. But when he came home from Afghanistan, everything had changed, and what followed became a devastating unraveling that cost her safety, her stability, and, for a time, her relationship with her children.

In the wake of trauma, Mallory turned to whatever could quiet the pain, which led into years of addiction and distance from the life she loved most. Yet even in the darkest places, she describes God as present and protective, meeting her in moments where she believes she should not have made it out. Her path toward freedom was not instant or simple, but it was real, and it ultimately led her to a church parking lot and a decision that would reshape everything. If you want to hear how restoration began, what it took to rebuild, and why she says “He should’ve left me, and He didn’t,” watch Mallory’s full story on YouTube.
